Now this is something I REALLY appreciate each time I have to evaluate an activity or project. This site is aaaall about rubrics!!

Site Description: RubiStar is a free tool to help teachers create quality rubrics.

All you need to do is to create yourself an account. This will only takea few seconds, and after you’ve done it you’ll be able to look for different rubrics of different areas such as math, languages, oral projects, art, writing, science, work skills, and more. Once you’ve chosen the area you need, you’ll be given a reeeaally complete rubric that is already done for you; from there, you can use that one or you can modify it according to your needs.

Hello everyone! It’s almost summer here in Chile and students and teachers are taking some well-deserved vacations

This is why I have more time now to talk to you about the newest things I’ve found on the web.

Ok, so today I ran into education.weebly.com a site specially created to make blogging easy for teachers. Now, I know there are other sites like blogger, wordpress and edublogs, etc, etc. They all have different features that are really attractive for teachers who love technology as I do. The feature I loved the most about Weebly, is that it’s reeeeeeaaally easy to use! Even for a teacher who is afraid of using technology for some reason-and there are lots of these! he he.

Once you create an account -really fast I must say-, you are immediately “taken” into a sort of dashboard where you can choose from a little bar on top of your site, a lot of different elements you might include in your blog.

For example: text, text and an image, video!, and what I liked the most: ASSIGNMENT FORM! yes! in just one click, you are already including in your page a pre-made form for your students to fill in with their names, e-mail addresses and the file they must upload to your blog!

So simple!

Estoy segura de que ya se han dado cuenta de la “twitter manía” que nos ronda. Página que visitamos está decorada con el pequeño pajaro azul que nos invita a dejar “lo que estamos haciendo” plasmado en nuestra página de microblogging.

Lo que les quiero contar hoy es que ya esta página se está utilizando de diferentes maneras para realizar interesantes actividades en nuestra sala de clases.

Les dejo hoy una serie de links que podrán leer para sacar ideas para primaria, secundaria o educación superior. También les dejo una página para poder estar en contacto con profesores que utilizan twitter en su sala de clases, ustedes también pueden agregarse a la lista de profesores si lo desean.
