www.ManyThings.org is a site dedicated to ESL students. They have lots of great material in it.But the two things that caught my attention were: the listening comp. page and the videos page.
The listening material you can find it at the Listening & Reading section on the main page.
I’m going to start teaching higher level students, highschool students, this year sooo, I’m doing listening comprehension again, which is something that I really love.
Looking for downloadable material, good material, I found this site about podcasts.
The site is called http://www.eslpod.com and here i’m just going to copy the description from their site about their awesome learning guide…
What is the Learning Guide?
The Learning Guide is an 8 – 10 page guide for every future podcast. The Learning Guide includes all of the following:
Complete transcripts (ESL Podcast and English Café)

Comprehension questions
Additional explanations
Cultural notes
Tips on improving your English
How do I download a podcast to my computer or MP3 player?
The easiest way to is to subscribe to the podcast with free software such as iTunes.
You can also download the individual files from our website:
RIGHT-click on the Download button. (for Mac: CTRL-click).
For Internet Explorer: Select Save Target As… (for Firefox: Save Link As).
When you see the Save box, note where you are saving it and click Save.
Find the downloaded file and double-click it or import it into your computer’s audio player.
I downloaded the material by just right-clicking on it and it’s just perfect.
The site is designed as a way to improve your english skills individually but it’s perfect for teachers as well.
Well hi everybody, I have been away for some time now but I’m here to stay, every day more and more interesting sites and information on education and technolgy is knocking our doors so… that’s why i’m here.
First of all, I can’t just start talking about anything without mentioning the horrible situation my country is going through right now. As you all may know, an earthquake (8.8) was felt in the central regions of Chile. Thousands of people lost all their belongings, houses and lifes. Today, we’re having a Teletón to raise money to build aaaall the houses that people is needing urgently. We’re also collecting food, clothes, medicines, personal hygiene items, etc.
This is why on the left side of this site, you’ll find this “Chile ayuda a Chile” banner. It leads you to the official site to make any type of contribution. We have received a lot of help, but it’s never enough.
Hello everyone! It’s almost summer here in Chile and students and teachers are taking some well-deserved vacations
This is why I have more time now to talk to you about the newest things I’ve found on the web.
Ok, so today I ran into education.weebly.com a site specially created to make blogging easy for teachers. Now, I know there are other sites like blogger, wordpress and edublogs, etc, etc. They all have different features that are really attractive for teachers who love technology as I do. The feature I loved the most about Weebly, is that it’s reeeeeeaaally easy to use! Even for a teacher who is afraid of using technology for some reason-and there are lots of these! he he.
Once you create an account -really fast I must say-, you are immediately “taken” into a sort of dashboard where you can choose from a little bar on top of your site, a lot of different elements you might include in your blog.
For example: text, text and an image, video!, and what I liked the most: ASSIGNMENT FORM! yes! in just one click, you are already including in your page a pre-made form for your students to fill in with their names, e-mail addresses and the file they must upload to your blog!
